Funny Man Has Mad Skills

Oh and Bill Walton is STILL terrible...

While on set of Semi-Pro, Will Ferrell has obviously had plenty of off time to work on his jump shot.
By the way, Semi-Pro hits theaters on Friday...as if you didn't already know.

Feb 27th

Lots talked about today - but ill try and keep it brief.

Ball 1: Dawgs played well against #1 Arizona over the weekend but had some bullpen issues, won friday, lost sat and sun.

Ball 2: Jay's AL West Preview
Projected finish:

1) Angels - Best rotation, outfield and rotation in the division - their division to lose.
2) Seattle - Hernandez and Bedard at the top of the rotation, but after that...ugh - and mediocre lineup
3) Rangers - good young pitchers in McCarthy and Gabbard - young position players in Salty and Josh Hamilton, Best infield in the division with Blalock, Young, and Kinsler.
4) Oakland - REBUILDING. Look for Huston Street and possibly Joe Blanton to be moved before the deadline.

Ball 3: Evan's NL West Preview
Projected Finish:

1) Arizona - With Webb and Haren at the top, they will make up for an unproven offense. Will the Dbacks young players step up to the plate?
2) Rockies - After their magical finish, can they get back to the playoffs? Same as the Dbacks, but opposite...Solid Lineup, can their young pitchers get it done?
3) Dodgers - Joe Torre - what does he bring to the squad? Good young guys(whole division has good young players)
4) Padres - Peavy and Young will be great, but do they have the offense(especially with an oft-injured Jim Edmonds)
5) Giants - SO FREAKING OLD - NO CHANCE

Can't wait to see how these turn out and how wrong we probably are...

Thats about it - see ya next week

The Dreamboat when he was more like a dream...dingy?

Tom Brady did in fact go to highschool - although anyone other than a michigan fan is still convinced he was created in a lab by belichick in 2001. A new youtube channel dedicated to mr. 18-1 has been created(thanks to www.thebig lead.com and throwingintotraffic.blogspot.com)

I especially love the video entitled "Bombs":

and definitely love the tunes

ANYWAYS, we'll see ya tomorrow on the show, and o ya - they can stop selling thosefootlong egg rolls at Rockets games for the rest of the season.

The real loser is Nate Robinson, no more blocks for him this season:

good thing they got Bobby Jackson, right! O, he's a guard...uhhhhh, nevermind

It's hard to believe that their is anything that gets me more excited than the college football season...but there is, and its SPRING TRAINING!!!!!!

The Bravos are on tv a week from friday against Andruw and his dahjah's - 1:05, ESPN

Georgia Baseball starts against Arizona on Friday, and hopefully we can get through the number 2 and number 7 teams in the country(AZ, and Oregon State). We'll learn a lot about our team in the first couple of weeks.

We'll have a major UGA baseball preview on wednesday - and of course some talk about the big boys down in kissimmee.

Braves fans - follow Dave O'Brien's blog - he is king for all things spring training - and you never know who might guest post on it(cough/chipper/cough cough)

Oh and Philly phans - don't get too confident this season...Closers are kinda important - and I know how it feels to have a shitty one, or two

Very Well Said

Big Daddy Drew from KSK wrote his final Dick Joke Jamboroo for deadspin.com this week and his words are of truth. I will miss his weekly NFL/LIFE musings, but look forward to his new weekly post starting soon. Until then, here are all of Drew's posts on deadspin for the season. I will probably revisit these this summer at some point to get jacked about the upcoming football season and also to take my mind off realizing I have no fucking clue what i am going to do next fall.
Oh, and Fuck you Kevin Hart.

Feb. 6th Recap

Ball 1:
Gisele Bundchen and her lying ways...
Our tickets to New York are now going to waste.

Ball 2:
The Saga of Chad Johnson and the travails of Philly and MR. McNabb.
Thoughts on the possible departure of both of these superstars.

McNabb must have had a bit to much Campbell's Chunky:

Ball 3:
Shaq to Phoenix for Shawn Merion.
This is our first discussion of the NBA. It's only news because IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!
Breaking News: Jay questions Steve Kerr....

Ball 4:
National Signing Day in Athens

DeWayne Allen and his switch to Clemson. (Who needs him.)
We've got depth at TE and have plenty of solid athletes coming to Athens.

Best shots to make an impact on the 2008 season from the recruiting class:
(Jay and Evan pretty much completely agreed on this)

1. Akeem Hebron
- He knows the defense, is a versatile LB and will serve as a better than adequate backup at all three LB positions.
2. Blair Walsh
- Top rated kicking prospect by Scout.com. Will have every opportunity to replace the often taken for granted Brandon Coutu.
3. Ben Jones
- Impressed Searels at camp and with the GIANT whole created by the graduation of Fernando Velasco, Jones will have every opportunity to fill that gap.
4. A.J. Green
- This kid is a beast of an athlete...
